Gardening in a Drought
Given the conditions during recent summers, I'm increasingly asked about gardening under drought conditions. If you'd like to find out more, you've come to the right place!
Included below are all my articles on this topic, as well as details about how I might be able to help you directly with a drought gardening one to one. Drought Gardening One to One
Our gardens need a lot of careful support during drought years. Get in touch with me for a personalised one to one session. Together, we can look at setting up your gardening routine so that you are caring for your plants and garden as best you can during these difficult times. We can work together to tend to frazzled beds and to set up sustainable water management features so that plants are better able to cope in future years. We can also discuss plant choices to replace those that have been unable to cope with more resilient options for future years.

The Secret Life of the Soil
Helping plants cope with drought conditions is entirely reliant on nurturing a healthy, living soil. Find out more about this fascinating realm in my talk 'The Secret Life of the Soil'.
Learn about recent studies into plant to plant communication, how to cultivate self-feeding flower beds and how to harness healthy soil for increased drought tolerance and for plants with natural pest and disease repelling qualities.
This talk includes up to date science, along with tales from my own home project, bringing the near-dead and heavily compacted soil beneath a concrete covered farmyard back to life, creating from it a thriving garden, full of food, flowers and wildlife.
